Wish You Were Here!
My sister in law is a pretty massive jerk, and she and her husband live far away, so when my husband’s family does anything fun, or his parents take us anywhere, I’m always sure to text her about it.
It’s hard to be in an extended family where everyone doesn’t get along, but my husband’s family is so kind and thoughtful that I know it’s her that’s the problem. Her attitude is out of control and she acts like she’s the center of the universe, so to poke fun at her I pretend that’s the truth.
She usually picks fights with us around the holidays so I’m actually glad that she doesn’t show up at any other time of year. I always end my messages to her with ‘wish you were here!’ which is a total lie, but it makes me feel better. PopsicleJane14
