Surprise Spice
I give out samples at grocery stores. You really learn a lot about people when you hand out free stuff. Many of them are kind, but so many more of them feel entitled to something free from a stranger, which is bizarre when you’re on the other end of the offering.
They don’t even go as far as to ask what they’re eating, so I use this to my own selfish advantage. If someone comes up to me and I say “hi” and they say nothing to me, 9 times out of 10 they will grab something really spicy.
So I don’t tell them it’s spicy, then when they turn around to look at me with a surprised, flustered look on their face, I just nod and smile devilishly. That’s what they get for being rude to someone who is giving them something for free. TheClassyRaptor
