Jimi Hendrix’s breakout year
The year 1967 was an eventual one for Jimi Hendrix. His performance at the 1967 Monterey International Pop Festival helped create the mythology of his rockstar persona. This was when the official coming of the new “Aquarian age of peace, love, and spiritual aspiration” came. It was his band’s first U.S. tour. Needless to say, Hendrix soon became one of America’s most revered guitarists and music icons. Here we have the Jimi Hendrix Experience performing for the Dutch television show Fenklup.
