The Greasers, also known as “Ton-up Boys,” first emerged back in the ’50s and gained popularity towards the end of the decade and the early-to-mid 1960s. It mostly consisted of working-class teenagers and young adults in the U.S. who embraced the whole rock and roll, rockability, and doo-wop aesthetic. Here we have some of these guys and their motorcycles. You could easily spot a Greaser by their blue jeans and black Schott Perfecto leather jackets. The subculture was heavily associated with motorsport-clothing.
