While folding cameras did decline in usage when the 1930s hit, they were still used all over the United States up until the ’60s. This camera’s lens and shutter are attached to a lens-board. Cameras like the Polaroid SX-70 Instant film camera and the Speed Graphic press cameras still utilized the technology well into the ’70s. We are guessing most people have never even seen one of these in person. In this photo, we can see a boy on his eighth birthday using his father’s 6X9 folding camera.
