Led Zeppelin on stage during the ’70s
After the British Invasion, labels were looking for the next best thing. When the ’70s came around, a new wave of British rock bands made it big. One of the most significant bands of the era was Led Zeppelin. They are arguably the most important rock group of the post-British Invasion period. The band conquered the U.S. even before doing so in their own home country. Their guitar-driven sound was also rooted in the blues. The only difference is that they doubled down on being hard and heavy, unlike some of their contemporaries.
