Childhood Crush
The first item Betty pulls out is a black-and-white photograph of a little girl. “That’s me with a little boy by the name of Jimmy Kane, and I had a crush on him,” Betty reveals. “I must have been about in the third grade or fourth.” But that’s not the only photograph that has survived a 75-year stay inside an air vent in a school bathroom!
