Leaving Their Baby Behind
The plan they devised was to hide in the basement one day and leave the baby upstairs until he started crying, and hopefully, his cry would get the attention of the police. They hoped the police would pick him up and hand him to foster care. As much as they hoped their plan would work out, some of them knew they would be discovered.
