Faced With Reality
Upon her return, Molly was still absent. Faced with the reality that there was nothing more she could do, Jill simply shrugged, hoping that Molly had found somewhere warm and safe for the night, particularly considering Chicago’s notorious cold nights.
As Jill came back from her unsuccessful search, her colleagues embraced her.
They could only hope that this experience would help Jill recognize the limitations of her actions and perhaps temper her innate goodwill with a dose of caution.
