Boundaries
She tenderly rubbed the woman’s back, but the woman instinctively recoiled. “Don’t touch me, lady!” she shrieked. Jill realized she had crossed a boundary.
The woman glared at her angrily, questioning her actions. Jill understood the need to proceed with caution.
Assuring the woman that her intentions were only to help, Jill managed to convince her to open up about her situation. Introducing herself as Molly, the woman began to share her story. Jill empathized deeply with Molly’s plight and was determined to assist her in any way possible.
