“I didn’t make it to Elsie’s,” Lizzie said in a lower voice. “Then, who’s there with you?” Brad asked. Lizzie meant to talk, but the man beside her beat her.
“Hello,” he paused and raised his eyebrows at Lizzie. “Brad,” Lizzie mouthed with a comical look, and the man reverberated the name. “Hey, Brad!”
