Frozen
By the time Lizzie realized what she was closing in on, she was driving thirty-five miles per hour. She saw one of the truck’s rear tires bouncing toward her.
Lizzie had heard plenty of horrible stories about trucks losing their tires on the highway. She froze, recalling the man who had lost his life because of a stray tire. The situation got worse before she even had time to react.
