Sophie let go of Joseph’s hands and ran out of the church. Her exit was followed by gasps and murmurs from the crowd. No one understood what just happened, not even Joseph. But the priest knew Sophie wouldn’t just cancel her wedding, not after waiting so long for this moment. Something must have happened.
