Nowhere to go
Slowly, it dawned on Sophie that she had nowhere to go for the night. She didn’t want to go home to Joseph, and no hotel was within walking distance. She also couldn’t go to her parent’s house, as they would want an explanation, and Sophie was far from ready to talk about today.
