Rainy Days
I went on my honeymoon to the Dominican Republic. On the 3rd night, we woke up to what sounded like cannons firing every 5 seconds. Looking out the window, we could see the palm trees silhouetted by the lightning– they were completely sideways.
It was hurricane Hannah, the hurricane which devastated Haiti (which is on the same island as the DR). It rained hard for 3 days and finally cleared the morning we left the country. Also, we were in the 3rd floor of a 5 story building, yet our ceiling leaked.
