She Stopped Showing Up
When I was in school, there was a girl who was overweight, and as a result of how she carried that weight, she looked quite pregnant.
Teachers kept pulling her and her parents into conferences to talk about it, and after however many times it happened, the parents got fed up and got the school to agree that they would no longer “alert” the parents if they thought the girl was pregnant.
About a year later, she stopped showing up to school. This was during sophomore or junior year of high school. There were rumors about what happened—she got involved with some older kids, ran to Mexico, got busted robbing 7/11, etc.
