It Had a Big Impact on the School
My graphics teacher was married to my math teacher, and one night he took her life during a domestic dispute. She was apparently having an affair and started taunting him about it in an argument while waving a fire poker at him.
He grabbed the poker from her and hit her over the head with it, which ultimately ended her life. He was sent to prison for manslaughter as opposed to first or second-degree murder because the court accepted the defense that there was no premeditation involved in the incident.
