International House Of Problems
I met a guy at a friend’s party. We had been texting for a few weeks, and he seemed awesome. We decided to go on a date to some small fancy restaurant. He picked me up and spent the entire time driving to the restaurant complaining about his day.
We got to the restaurant too late, and it was closed, so he complained about that too. His friend called him while we were looking for a new place. He answered and complained about how the date was so bad. We ended up eating at IHOP. All the while, he was still complaining about how terrible the date was.
I know he meant it was terrible in that we didn’t get to go to the other restaurant and ended up at IHOP. However, in my opinion, a date is good or bad based on if you have fun with the other person, so I took it personally.
At the end of the night, he dropped me off and told me he had a great time even though it was a terrible date, and that he would like to see me again. It didn’t happen. Maybe if he hadn’t whined the whole time, I could have had fun as well. Story credit: Reddit / (Blue_no_Yellow)
