The Shelter
It didn’t take long for the family to adopt a dog from a rescue shelter. Their little Aisling caught sight of the shelter on their way to a pet store, and, using her powerful vocal box, convinced the Sheffields to visit it.
Aisling’s screaming and shouting were still ringing in Terry’s ears. When the little girl saw the dogs, she yelled, “Mama, mommy, I want that dog!” until Jim pulled over.
Terry should have known that the end was near.
