The Biggest Challenge
The church itself was so important even prior to the new find that it was currently being considered as a world heritage site by UNESCO. This fact made the stakes higher when it came to ensuring that nothing was damaged.
The floor above the main temple site was also lined with ornate and delicate mosaics. Getting through these without damaging them created a seemingly insurmountable challenge.
