Benjamin was, for the most part, acting like a model child. It seemed to Madeline that he was the same whether he was in Brooklyn or with her. She nearly fooled herself into thinking that her kid had merely had bad luck with babysitters in the past. She was relieved that they had found someone with whom her kid could get along.
