We took advantage of the unexpected stoppage to clean out the van, re-paint it, fix the carpet disaster caused by Ginjey, hang new curtains, and do some other sprucing. It’s strange that once we got rid of our bedding, kitchenware, and sofa cushions, it no longer felt like a home. Restoring order to the space was a source of great pleasure; it now feels like we’ve returned home, and we’re just waiting for the all-clear to resume our journey.
