Model Citizen
The youngest of the two proudly announced to Risdon, “you know, I want to be just like you someday.” This was the highest praise Risdon could ever have hoped for and it made him happier than he could ever explain. He had joined the military because he had a desire and a need to serve his country. It didn’t matter where he did it. Becoming a role model for a child he had just met quelled any doubts he may ever have had about his decisions. This was a very special moment, and it wasn’t lost on anyone who saw it.
