A New Problem
The Red Cross process was a nerve-racking one as they had to wait for the doctor’s report first. Finally, it was received and Brooks was finally able to book a flight out of Texas. Sadly, a cruel twist of fate threw another barrier in his path.
The flight was unexpectedly delayed. Haley was already getting ready to give birth and now Brooks had to face the thought of not being there all over again. He was still in his uniform when he sat against a wall at the airport and began to cry uncontrollably.
