“How to Open a New Book”
It seems like everyone had advice to give about everything back in the day and that included the most mundane tasks, like opening a new book. This guide takes us back to when bookbinding reigned supreme and e-readers were too far in the future to even fathom. It seemed a tedious task, but one had to place the book on its back, let each of the covers down and proceed to perform a series of exercises, to ensure that the book would not be damaged. It ended with a moral: even a well-bound book may be easily ruined at the first opening.
