Early Passenger Airplanes of the 1930s
Today, it’s almost nothing to hop on a plane for half a day or more to travel halfway around the world. But in the 1930s, things weren’t nearly as convenient as they are now, even with the sky-high prices modern-day folk have to deal with. But the price of air travel was also high back then, even though most argue that it was worth in. Planes were changed around in that decade from wood to metal, interiors were upgraded to have more space and some even came equipped with comfortable sleeping arrangements. Those changes were welcomed since a flight to Australia could take almost two weeks, with more than 20 stops.
