1912 I Am Death Poster
A man by the name of Dr. John Hurty, who at the time was the head of the Indiana State Board of Health, was believed to be obsessed with educating the public about all the bad health habits they engaged in. It was rumored that he would go out of his way to show people the right things and how they could make lifestyle changes that would make them live longer- including exhuming a corpse to perform an autopsy, just to show a doctor the right way to do it. This poster was one of the many ways he continued to shock the public. Those who knew him admitted that he had an out-there personality, but that Hurty only wanted the best for people.
