The Infamous Bonnie and Clyde in 1933
Bonnie was only one year younger than Clyde, but when they met when she was just 19, he had already begun his life of crime. In fact, he had already been to prison before they got together. Their life of crime together started when she smuggled a gun into a prison to help him escape. Bonnie then ended up in jail after the two stole a car together. When she was released in 1932, they robbed a series of banks with some of Clyde’s childhood friends. Despite being very dangerous criminals, there was a Robin Hood aspect to their crimes because they stole from the rich and gave to the poor.
