“If A Woman Needs It, Should She Be Spanked?”
Printing an article like this right now or any time within the last 20 or so years would be cause for the end of a publication. But that obviously wasn’t the case in the 1950s. Instead, married men in New York were asked their (ignorant, for lack of a better word) opinions on whether women needed to be spanked “if she needed it.” Thankfully, a lot has changed when it comes to women’s rights. It is, however, very sad that some men once (and still do) think that women were more like property than an actual partner.
