The Pink Fairy Armadillo
The pink fairy armadillo is the smallest species of armadillo in the world. This cute, but strange-looking creature can be found in the desert areas of scrub lands of Argentina and spends its time digging for food like plant matter and invertebrates. It can be quite difficult to find since it’s so elusive and is usually only found above ground when they’re on a surface they can’t dig through. The nocturnal mammal usually weighs just about 4.2 ounces and is between 3.5 and 4.5 inches long.
