First she shared her photos on social media so people in the area would stop giving money to the woman who probably wasn’t actually in need. Then Melissa contacted her local news station, who replied to her quickly with interest in the story. To track down the beggars, they ran the license plate number on the car they were driving, which was surprisingly under a woman’s name whose address was undisclosed publicly.
