Because, unlike popular belief, Stevie Wonder was not born blind. His loss of vision was the consequence of an event that occurred during his boyhood and would permanently alter his life.
A great deal of admiration and love has been shown to Wonder because of his ability to embrace his blindness. Nevertheless, there is more to Wonder than that.
