Nobody answered her in English or Spanish. Instead, she heard another higher-pitched “Meow.” Dani was starting to get annoyed. Indeed, children at this age should be more mature.
The substitute teacher was about to get up and address her class seriously when a hand was raised. Dani looked at the girl, “yes, dear?” she asked. “Teacher, you have to meow at him like a cat. He only identifies as a cat,” the girl said with a giggle.
