The Cold, Hard Truth
My father passed away when I was young. He got into an accident while hunting that ended his life…at least, that’s what my mother had always told me. Fast forward 58 years later when my mother died.
I finally learned the hard, cold truth. In her will, she requested that once I was old enough, I would be told that my father didn’t actually die in a hunting accident, but rather suicide. I guess she literally carried that secret to her grave.
