The Plan Goes Awry
Jim had hoped the enemy would quickly scatter, and some did. But many of them stayed put and returned fire. Jim tragically lost several of his men during these exchanges of gunfire. But the more he and his team fought, the more enemy combatants fled. Eventually, they had all left the area.
