Kathy and Jim had a difficult conversation. Jim was, of course, thrilled that Kathy was getting married. He wished her all the best. But he couldn’t commit to attending her wedding. He told Kathy that he’d been bouncing from job to job ever since he got back from Afghanistan. She had figured as much.
