Trap Fruit Flies
To keep fruit flies at bay, pour some apple cider vinegar into a cup and then add a couple of drops of dish soap. Place a bowl or cup filled with this solution right next to the trash or a fruit bowl. The strong but sweet odor will attract the flies and the dish soap, which thickens the liquid, will cause them to immediately sink and drown in the solution.
