The Sounds
Occasionally a twig snapped and leaves rustled, making him nervous. Every sound sounded louder than it actually was as if his mind was playing tricks on him.
Bears and other wild animals lived in the area, and the thought of coming across one terrified him to his very core.
As time passed, he only became more paranoid.
