Is This A Joke?
“I saw your grandma dropping you off a minute ago,” he stated calmly. “I bet she’s still in the neighborhood. How about you call her to come to pick you up?”
Macy stood. Was the principal joking? She tried to grin, thinking this was a joke.
But Mr. Johnson’s lips did not curl. He stared her dead in the eyes and offered her a different choice.
