The race began and the rest of the world seemed to melt away. Madeline pushed her legs and muscles to grind every bit of power out of them so she could get away. The other runners were just as determined and she realized that this wasn’t going to be that straightforward.
It wasn’t just her physical prowess that was superior though. Madeline also knew how to quiet her mind and soon blocked out all negativity. Finding her rhythm a quarter way through, she began to pull away.
