Their Rules
John and Macy always had a simple rule regarding phone calls. If one or the other called once and the call went to voicemail, they could try again.
If the second call didn’t go through, whoever was calling would know the other person was away from their phone, and they should try again in an hour or two.
But there was an exception to this rule.
