Intrigued, Harold decided to investigate further. He traced the pipe’s path through the forest, walking carefully and noting its twists and turns. It seemed to go on for miles, disappearing into the undergrowth and re-emerging in the most unexpected places. Soon, he realised that the pipe was part of a vast network, crisscrossing the entire forest floor like the veins of some enormous beast.
