One year I got a jar of pennies from my grandma. She said my grandfather was saving them FOR DECADES.
However, I didn’t see one with a year below 1990 and I got it in the early 2000’s, there was exactly $10 in the jar, and it was in a coffee jar with an expiration date that was a few months after that Christmas.
