On the day when Jackie arrived at work late, she was dismayed to see that Pipa was at home. She had something scheduled for today, but now it will have to wait.
Since Pipa had already caught her being late once today was useless. That’s why she put in additional hours at work in the hopes that Pipa would eventually forget about it.
