The 70s ushered in many firsts and record-breaking events not only in science and social reform but in sports as well. Below we are witnessing Hank Aaron break Babe Ruth’s 714 home run streak. How crazy is that? All of you baseball fans out there must be familiar with this picture. 714 home runs is not an easy record to break. We are lucky to have such a clear depiction of this historical event in sports. It would be almost another 40 years before Barry Bonds would break this record.
