The Twin Towers
The two stately towers that decorated the New York skyline were an emblem of American pride. Unfortunately they were brought down by terrorist attacks on September 11 2001. These buildings, built in 1973 were yet another feat. this decade produced. Although the landscape of the twin tours has long been reimagined, and new tower built in its place, the memory of their significance and the events of 9/11 are never forgotten.
