The Olympic Munich Massacre
A darker side of the 70s era was a massacre that occurred during the 72 Olympics. 11 Israeli Olympic team members were taken hostage and killed by a Palestinian terrorist group called Black September. A photographer captured one of the terrorists creeping around the perimeter of the arena. The ‘72 Olympic Games were made unforgettable by this heinous crime.
