The Women Went on Strike
Women worldwide were very frustrated with unequal treatment, gender stereotypes, and lack of opportunities for women. The photo captured at this event shows women protesting more than just gender inequality. They were fighting for the soldiers at war to come home, and the innocent women and people America was attacking during the Vietnam war. The 70s had more than their fair share of issues to address, and we appreciate the brave individuals that fought for us to live in a more just world.
