A fellow prosecutor (in plain clothes) overheard this exchange between a defendant and his attorney in the courthouse hallway. “Why don’t they dismiss this case? The paper says ‘State of Texas v. ______,’ but I didn’t punch the state of Texas. I punched my co-worker”. Oh, buddy…
