Defeated
When Patricia left Samantha, she saw that her mood had soured and she was leaving her in a defeated state. It was completely illogical. Before rounding the corner, Patricia saw the lady stomp glumly into the home. With the photographs and the coffee and pastries, why had Samantha asked Patricia to stay so long?
